CSDS-85 selected to provide underwater security in Middle East
The CSDS-85 OMNI Sonar system was selected to provide underwater waterside security at a sensitive site in the Middle East. The contract, which was signed in October/06, will result in delivery of a system during the 1st quarter of 2007.
CSDS-85 selected by major commercial port
The 4th generation CSDS-85 OMNI Sonar system was selected to provide underwater security at a major commercial port in Europe. The sonar was installed and set-to-work in August/06.
New Product Announcement
C-Tech Ltd. is pleased to introduce its' fourth generation Underwater Security Sonar. The CSDS-85 Swimmer Detection Sonar addresses the growing worldwide need to provide security for personnel and high value assets vulnerable to underwater threats.
Compact and easily deployable, the CSDS-85 can be installed on the sea bed, dockside or suspended from a ship to provide automatic detection and tracking capability. OMNI (360°) real time operation assures optimum coverage of the area to be protected with a minimum number of systems.
The CSDS-85 is currently in production for a number of high profile customers, with deliveries to begin in the second quarter of 2004.
Sonar for Sweden's Visby Class Corvettes
Five Visby Class Corvettes are being built by Kockums for the Royal Swedish Navy.
Contract Award:
C-Tech Ltd. was awarded a contract in February 2002 to deliver 3 additional sets (7 total) of Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS) Subsystems and Variable Depth Sonar (VDS) Subsystems for installation on the Visby Class Corvettes.
Working under contract to General Dynamics Canada, C-Tech Ltd. is responsible for designing, manufacturing and testing all subsystem transducers and electronics including custom power supplies. In addition the Company is designing the hoisting system for the HMS and the pressure vessels, which house the VDS electronics.
FAT Visby Hoisting System:
In March 2002, C-Tech Ltd. conducted a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the 1st hoisting system, which will be installed on the Visby Class Corvettes. Compliance with all design specifications was demonstrated and our customer accepted the equipment. Six additional hoisting systems have been manufactured, tested and accepted by the customer.
FAT Visby HMS:
C-Tech Ltd. successfully completed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of Hull Mounted Sonar (HMS) Shipsets 1 to 7. The HMS, designated Model CHMS-90, which has narrow vertical and horizontal beams, has been designed to achieve very low self-noise. Features have been incorporated into the design to enhance performance for its main mission, in-stride mine detection.
FAT Visby VDS:
C-Tech Ltd. has successfully completed Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of Variable Depth Sonar (VDS) Shipsets 1 to 7. The VDS, designated model CVDS-26, is designed for ASW applications in shallow highly reverberant waters. High source level, narrow vertical and horizontal beams and low self-noise mitigate the effects of extreme enviromental conditions.
C-Tech has been supporting the customer in ongoing installation and set-to-work activities.
Operations Room Team Trainer (ORTT) Spares
Contract Delivery:
C-Tech Ltd. has delivered spares to Lockheed Martin for the Operations Room Team Trainer (ORTT). ORTT hardware, which includes 38 simulator types, was designed and manufactured by C-Tech Ltd. and is used by the Canadian Navy to train crews for service on the “Halifax Class” frigates.
Standard Electronic Modules (SEM) for USN
C-Tech Ltd. completed delivery of 4,000 beamformer and EPROM SEM under contract to Lockheed Martin. These modules are critical components of the USN’s SQQ-89 Sonar System and represent 3 of over 400 SEM functions manufactured by C-Tech Ltd.
Republic of Korea Navy Operates CSAS-80 Sonar
Contract Award:
In March of 2001, C-Tech Ltd. was awarded a contract to deliver our third generation Harbour Surveillance System, the CSAS-80, to the South Korean Navy for port security. The sonar will be integrated with a number of other sensors to provide a comprehensive port security system.
FAT/SAT:
The 1st CSAS-80 OMNI® Sonar system underwent a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at our Underwater Test Facility in November 2001. This was followed by a Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) in Korea during the month of December where the CSAS-80 demonstrated its capability to automatically detect and track divers and was accepted by our customer.
Additional CSAS-80 Sonar systems were completed during the second quarter of 2003 and following formal Factory Acceptance Testing at our underwater test facility they were accepted and delivered to our customer.
(p)CSAS-80 Sonar systems have been installed and integrated into a waterside security system as the active sonar component to provide automatic detection and tracking capability of divers and diver delivery vehicles.
