C-Tech Ltd. is recognized for its well-engineered, high technology products. Founded in 1969, the Company is a privately owned business, incorporated under the laws of the Government of Canada.

Over the past 32 years, C-Tech Ltd. has focussed its design efforts on sonar systems and subsystems for the defence and commercial markets. In addition, underwater acoustic transducers were designed and manufactured for various applications. During the first 20 years of the Company's existence, the emphasis was on developing OMNI® sonar systems for the high-end commercial market. During the last 12 years the Company has applied many of the lessons learned in this shallow water environment to develop products for the defence market and more specifically sonar systems optimized for the littoral environment. This change in focus has been very successful as demonstrated by many C-Tech products now in service in the world's navies.

In addition to its sonar products, the Company also designs and manufactures a diverse range of Standard Electronic Modules (SEM), which are used in electronic systems on all U.S. Navy surface and subsurface ships. SEM are manufactured and qualified to MIL-STD-28787. We have designed over 400 standard and special types and delivered several hundred thousand modules over the course of our thirty-year participation in the SEM Program.

C-Tech Ltd. also offers its technical and manufacturing experience and capabilities in the design and manufacture of custom electronic equipment and to government and industrial groups as a team member. Design assistance, manufacture-to-print or from engineering models as well as creation of military-level documentation are all accomplished to the same high quality standards that are characteristic of C-Tech products.

Basic research and development, principally in the areas of signal processing techniques and underwater acoustics continues to be made possible by a Company policy that invests a significant amount of profits in developing new products. Key personnel have a broad technical and managerial background, many having held functional positions within the Company in more than one department.
